Note 5 headphone and bluetooth muting.

From the time I got my Note 5 I've had no problems with using a wired headset and/or a bluetooth headset. Both worked as they were supposed to. Today when I plug in the wired headset the phone's speaker is not muted. When I tried to use my bluetooth headset the phone's speaker is not muted. When I tried to listen to audio in FB messenger I could not hear it through my bluetooth headset but only through the phones speaker.

I changed no settings. I deleted AVG Anti-virus app as it was conflicting with the Lookout app. Other than that I've done nothing else to the phone.

Any ideas on how to fix this problem?

Thanks!

Let’s take a look and see what is going on SKIPOO. Verizon Wireless is here to help. Is there any physical/water damage to your phone? Are these the same headphones that you have been using? Have you tried other headphones? Let’s tackle one issue at a time.
