This phone has turned into the most frustrating paperweight since the latest software update! Apps constantly updating yet still not working correctly, the message+ app is constantly stopping, and now the phone is hanging itself up because a background app is trying to open! Final straw is the phone-what the heck happened with that update?? Ready to toss this thing under my 4WD!
Agreed. The phone desperately needs the 5.1.1 update. You can try factory resetting to "help" some of the issues. (Also, personal preference is Textra as a messaging app.)
