On my new galaxy note 8 I am unable to turn off the screen lock (PIN)

The PIN auto sets after half an hour and I cannot get it to stop?  I read this was possibly due to having an exchange email set up on the device?  This was not an issue with my Note 5, is this something new?

Re: On my new galaxy note 8 I am unable to turn off the screen lock (PIN)

The security policies for Samsung Pay, Android Pay and certain email accounts and sometimes other applications require a more secure phone. This restricts the security lock to not allow the swipe or no password options. You can sometimes adjust how soon after the screen shuts off or when you press the power button for the security code to be required before the phone is unlocked. The range for the automatic lock goes from "immediately" up to 30 minutes unless you allow it to remain unlocked with a smart lock. The settings will be under the security settings for the phone.
