Phone suddenly says that my sim card is not verizon?

Why does my Verizon phone galaxy note 5 suddenly say that my sim card is not a Verizon sim card? I bought this verizon phone new about a year and a half ago from Best Buy.

No one has contacted me about how to fix this problem. It is a message I

get every once and awhile. What can I do to fix it?

Have you tried turning off the phone and removing the SIM card for a minute or so?  Once you put the SIM card back in the phone and turn the phone back on, establishing a fresh network connection may correct the issue.  If not, you may have a bad SIM card (that happens sometimes); you can get a free replacement at your local Corporate VzW store or by contacting Customer Service.

You may be thinking of the battery, which isn't removable.  Here's how to remove the SIM card:
