Recent apps button note 8

Since the PIE update, my apps that I leave open in the recent apps area keep closing.  Any ideas why this is happening?

when you set the phone down or put in a pocket/purse, it goes to sleep.

settings/doze/notifications....select what you don't want going to sleep.
