Is there a way or a setting that I could use to lengthen the amount of times of phone will ring before voicemail will pick it up?

It's set by the system at roughly 30 seconds.  Using a different ringtone sometimes helps.

I've often thought to ask:  How does changing the ringtone affect the number of rings or the length of time the rings last?  I can see how a short ringtone or one with a long fade in or out might make a ring time seem shorter and more likely to be missed.

I alway assumed it'll repeat if it is short. Most of the ringtones I have are all 30 seconds so I never bothered.
