Samsung Galaxy Note 2 on Verizon?

I called Verizon customer care and a customer care rep not a sales person said it would be in there store's on the 27th I never asked her about going to buy it anywhere other than the Verizon store where I placed my pre order.  I didn't order online or over the phone I went into the store and ordered. All I can tell you is what was told to me.

Nice. I figured, after waiting more than a Month, I may as well wait a little longer and save $100. So I just canceled by pre-order and bought it online through Walmart. -My way of "sticking it to the man!". If it comes a little later than the pre-order, i'm fine with that. $100 is $100, after all.

Thats all find and dandy *IF* you are not worried about keeping your unlimited plan. Thats a huge reason that I will buy the GN2 out right and keep my unlimited plan.

Maybe just the pre-orders will be in the store on the 27th for pick-up  and the non pre-orders would go on sale the 29th.

Just a thought.

I just checked the status for my two preorders and the webpage kinda flickered twice as it loaded. It usually only flickers once and I got worried about what that might mean so I did a virtual online chat with Verizon and was told to call customer service. So I called customer service and the guy on the phone told me to call my local store. I called my local store and the store manager told me to go do a virtual online chat....

And just in case something might of miraculously changed in that window of time I contacted a Verizon rep again and was told if I kept one of my preorders the way it is but then went into a store to get my second one, I would then be able to strap the two phones to the bottom of my feet and walk on water. I assume that's thanks to the multitasking feature.

The $100 back from Walmart would be a heck of a deal. But I know that vague shipping time would be a turn off to many. One solution, if you've got the available credit card room, would be to order from Walmart in addition to keeping your preorders. Then if Walmart happens to post a more concrete delivery date that you can live with before the Verizon order shows up you just cancel the Verizon order.

Just be aware that once you open the box from Verizon they will charge you a restocking fee if you return it. If the box is unopened there is no restocking fee. Walmart on the other hand does NOT charge a restocking fee even if the box has been opened. On cell phones, I believe Walmart's return period is still 14 days.
