Spell check - how do I remove it or turn it off?

Two questions:

1) How do I turn off spell check on my phone?

2) How do I use emoticons?

There's lots of ways to customize your device, Spirit07. There isn't a spell check feature though. Are you referring to your phone predicting what you're typing or automatically replacing words? Those features, along with the rest of the settings that control how your keyboard works can be found in Settings > Language and Input. Emoticons are available through the button to the left of your space bar when you have your keyboard open.
