I occasionally get a message saying that my SIM card is not detected, and I must restart. However, my Samsung Galaxy Note 4 has no SIM card - it is a 4G phone using CDMA, and yes, it does not have nor need a SIM card. This is very annoying because each time the message appears I have to restart my phone. I am running Lollipop with software update N910VVRU2BOG5.

If it has a SIM card, why do I get this message when Verizon in my area
runs CDMA. Regardless, how do I fix this annoying message/problem? Thanks
for any help

All LTE devices have sim cards. Doesn't matter what location you are in supports. For example *228 doesn't work on your phone, because the sim card auto downloads the PRL when needed.

Thanks, didn't know that. I've removed/reinserted the SIM card and will let
all know if that fixes the problem. As the error message occurs on an
irregular basis, I may not know if it worked for several days. Thanks to
all.

Worse case you may need to get a new sim card or the sim slot itself may be going bad. Start with the sim card change first as it is free and if that fails still then it may be the sim slot.
