Why does my SD card keep losing data?

My note 2 keeps losing all the data i store on my SD card. This was happening even before the software update, which i thought would fix it. Has anyone else seen this issue? i have a 32gb sd card. The message I get is the card is not formatted would you like to do it now. When that happens the card is unreadable and will only work again after formatting. It has happened 4 times now in 6 months.

pcbutts1,

Thanks for the additional info! If the SD card was recently purchased it should still be covered by the manufacturers warranty and may need to be replaced. If replacing the SIM card does not help resolve this concern, we may need to attempt a factory reset http://vz.to/1d1KPN1

Hey there pcbutts1,

Let's get that Note 2 in winning condition again. I'm sorry for the SD card issues you are having. Is there any physical damage to the SD card? Try inserting and removing the card,http://vz.to/1giR9kO and let us know if the issue occurs. Have we tried replacing the SD card?

It is a Class 10 32gb micro sd card SDHC and it was bought new. There is no

damage to the card. I have removed it and re-inserted it several times. It

was doing the same thing before the latest update to allow you to move apps

to the card. Is there a recommended SD card to use?
