Why don't I have "Global" or "CDMA" as choices for preferred network?

I bought a Samsung Note 5 online which supposedly supports GSm and CDMA. I went to Verizon and got a CMDA SIM card installed. The data service I get is awful so I have researched this and under networks it should show global, cdma/lte. All I show is 2G, 2G/3G and 2G/3G/4G. Why don't I get the other options? what is different about my phone? I have read everything I can about the different networks and can't figure this out. I'm an EE so I am not clueless about these things. The power level I was getting has been around -109 dbm and asu of 1. I added the Verizon APN and turned on roaming, made sure airplane mode is off etc.... I did get some improvement by changing some settings under "developer mode" but it bugs me that I don't the those 2 network settings available. HELP?

The CDMA/LTE mode is the preferred setting. If you don't have that option, you might want verify that you have the right model for the Verizon Wireless network.

Thank you for reaching out to us. I saw that you stated that you had bought your device online. Where did you purchase it from? Did you purchase the device from our site or 3rd party?

Hi.... why does Verizon say I my phone is Compatible with the Verizon

network when it isn't? I bought the phone because Verizon said it will work.

I gave you the correct specifications.  The ones you provided are not compatible.

Did you check the IMEI with the Verizon tool that verifies if the device is valid? Bring Your Own Phone or Device - BYOD | Verizon Wireless

Yes, I checked the iemi and its fine. Again, why did Verizon say the phone

is Compatible when it isn't using the website test for compatible

phones.... and my phone Does have band 13 so I don't know why you say it

isn't.. Can this issue be elevated to someone more knowledgeable please?

Looking at the posted specs, the information next to "Technology" lists data that would indicate that this particular phone is a GSM only unit. There is no reference to CDMA or the proper Verizon band.

As to why did the iemi said that the phone is Verizon Wireless compatible, I can't say.
