i keep getting a -1 on my mail lcon in lock screen. when i swipe my phone it goes away, when i close it and open again its back on there

I keep getting a -1 symbol on my email icon when its in the locked home page when I swipe to open it isn't there until I close my phone and open it again.  any ideas

You can try to remove the email account(s) and re-add them one at a time to see if that helps. I have seen recommended way of doing this is to remove, Reboot, and add, but I typically skip the reboot part....Hope that helps...Something probably got stuck. the other way is to find the email app and clear data....I can get you instructions for that if you want but that will effect all accounts at once.
