Hi,
The latest software update is causing me problems related to Internet connectivity while on a call. Before the update, when I was in a call, I still had Internet. For example, while talking if I had to look up something like a google search I could do this. After the update, this no longer works. I did not realize how often I need this until it disappeared. This is especially noticeable while connecting to the phone's hotspot which I for work at times throughout the day. While working on my laptop over the phone's connection and a call comes in - now Internet is down - and sometimes the calls I have are for work and require that I have Internet during the call. This worked before the update - I did not even realize this could be a problem until today when I accepted the software update.
I noticed the the software update (Samsung Galaxy S7 Software Update | Verizon Wireless ) make references to "HD Voice (Wi-Fi Calling) performance improvement" - perhaps this change is causing the issue?
Anyone else having this problem? Or am I one of the few who uses the phone's Internet connection and talks at the same time?
Any help is appreciated!
Michael

I would also add that since the update, none of my calls have been "HD" calls. Which I assume may be VoLTE calls? Perhaps when a call is not HD - it cannot support Internet and the call at the same time? If that is the case, perhaps the issue is that this update broke HD calls for me. So the question may be how to reenable those. I checked that HD Voice calls is checked to On under Advanced calling in the settings menu already - that did not fix things.

DALWHI16,
When you stated that you reinstalled phone with Bluetooth, are you referring to completing a factory reset on the device?

No I deleted the phone from the Nissan system and then let the phone and Nissan Connect recognize each other and added it back as a BT device for both call and media audio. Since first post I have been able to get the systems to talk to each other for calls but still no media audio….
Thanks,
Dale

I appreciate your efforts and the fact you were able to solve part of the problem. To further clarify, have you been able to successfully use your Bluetooth with other Bluetooth devices? Do you receive any errors when trying to play media audio over Bluetooth?

DALWHI16, I too have had trouble connecting Nissan Connect in my 2016 Murano. It takes forever. The dealer says this is a 'known defect', an expression which I find difficult to accept. I say to this response, if it's a known issue, then fix it!

The problem seems to be related to Nissan Software and New Android update only.
Thanks,

I don't think that's it. I haven't installed any of the S7 OS updates, including Nougat itself.
