I am a newcomer to smartphones, but I don't think I am not smart! I cannot add a contact. I am trying to follow the directions. My starter page doesn't look like the one shown and I am trying to get it, but there must be another way to do it through the menu or contact page, but not that I see. Please help.
When you open your contacts app, do you see a plus sign in the corner (I think on your phone it's in the upper right-hand corner, but I'm not positive; on some phones it's in the lower right corner). Tap that and you may get another screen asking where to save the contact (such as Google or Backup Assistant, depending on where you back up your contacts). Then you should see a blank contact page where you can 'fill in the blanks'. Once done, click the Save button.
Above works. As well as just get to the dial pad and type in the phone number like you would to actually call them. As you type it in right there on screen it will ask you if you want to add to contacts.
