Ok, so I just got my galaxy S8 plus after having my previous phone stolen the same day. I've only had it for about four days, and I hadn't had any trouble out of it up till now. Everything downloaded fine. Now, whenever I try to download something, it gets to 100% almost immediately but after that won't do anything. The download won't finish and I can't figure out why. My boyfriend thought maybe that it was set up to download with Wi-Fi only but I couldn't find a setting for that and figured it wasn't the case cause I had no problem downloading some of my previous apps that I had had. I would greatly appreciate any help I can get. I've tried restarting the phone and even shut it off for several minutes before turning it back on.
Sorry to hear your phone was stolen. I'd suggest going in and tapping on the "x" next to the download (if you haven't already) and trying to re-download the app. I've had this happen to me with various phones where it almost gets "stuck." It may also help (I do realize the phone is new) to go into Settings > Backup and Reset > Reset network settings. I've done this to refresh the network settings.
Let us know if either of this methods work / help.
Clicking the X didn't help. I even tried resetting the network settings. I thought about factory resetting the phone then worried that if it didn't fix it I would be without my apps.
Callibella89, not being able to download apps would have me worried too. I use my phone for apps like all the time. You've taken some great steps to try to get this to work on your own, so thank you for that. Let's see what we can do. You mentioned this hasn't happen with all apps, are these only new apps that you've tried to download?
