I think there are third-party apps that can be used to restore deleted SMS messages.

Do you have a google account? If you have your phone sync to that account your txt message could be there.

The Google account doesn't backup the text messages.
I'm most definitely NOT a VZW employee. If a post answered your question, please mark it as the answer.

So sorry that the google advise was wrong. I was not sure that is why I said could.
I was checking my account as I was typing this and had another window open
and by the time I came back that window was gone. I am sure if there is a way
someone will come on here and tell you. When she delete them were they on
the old phone or after you setup the new phone did she delete them from there

Tpowers1001,
I regret to learn some of your text messages were deleted from your phone. I welcome the opportunity to address your inquiry. Since the messages you didn't know you had were restored once getting the new phone, it does sound like you were backing them up. Do you know if you were backing up your text messages to our Verizon Cloud app or were you only backing them up with Verizon Message+ which backs up 90-days of text history? Does your girlfriend have access to your My Verizon login information. If so, she may be deleting those messages from the website when logged in to the Message+ Web App linked here (under the Get It Now button): https://www.verizonwireless.com/messaging/. kathy65793 is correct in that messages can be synced to Google but in order for this to occur, you'd normally have to have a 3rd party SMS backup app (typically downloaded from the Play Store) that's linked to your Gmail account that allows those messages to be backed up to it. They will not backup via Google Drive or Photos. These apps will create a SMS/Text label in your Gmail inbox to view your individual message threads via your email account.

Generally speaking when texts are deleted they are gone. VZ Messages does backup texts so good option above. Good luck.
