Can you stop group text messages on the Samsung Galaxy s5?
Solved! Go to Correct Answer
You can change how your device receives messages when you're included in a group but if someone sends a group message and includes you, as long as the other participants are responding you will receive the messages. You will have to tell the original sender to no longer include you.
Hi Machellec,
You've come to the right place for answers. The options for group messages may vary depending on the messaging app.. Which messaging app are you using on your S5? Can you give us more details on what with the group messages trying to stop? Are you trying to remove yourself from a group text message you were included in?

I know I'm sick of group messages, but I don't believe the S5 has the ability to stop it, correct?
I'm just using the regular ole factory installed text message program on my S5.
Well supposedly I received a reply from my question here yesterday, but of course there's nothing here.
as was mentioned earlier, if anyone in the group replies, you get that message..
Yes, I read that, but no one specifically answered whether or not there was a way to avoid this. I have since found the answer to be simply be, NO.
Not to beat a dead horse but I responded that you would have to tell the sender NOT to include you in group messages. That way you won't receive any.
