We can not uninstall an update once it is on our phone. I know that this update changed everything that I was use to on nugant. Are you having problems with the phone is it not running right?

I wish that they would give us a option to put the phone back if this update does not work.

Seriously hate this upgrade. Is there anything we can do?

Software updates are meant to improve your phone not work it worse Cinhip85. There is no way to remove an update once it has been completed and I am sure we can help on whatever issue you are having. What seems to be going on with your device? What have you tried to resolve your concern?

Since this latest update I no longer receive notifications for social media (i.e., Facebook). I've gone through my notification settings within FB and on my phone, everything is set as it should be and was prior to the upgrade. Still not getting notifications and missing a lot of things that I need to respond to quickly.

When I receive notifications for email, text messages, etc. I see a notification icon on the status bar at the top of my screen (like I did previously) and a number counter on the app icon itself showing how many new items are there (like I did previously). With this new update when I clear my notification icons from the status bare at the top I lose my number counter on my apps. This did not happen prior to this upgrade and I want this back to how it used to be. I need the counters to stay when I clear the status bar.

Definite delays in loading applications since the upgrade and battery life is WAY worse!!!!

I've lost all individual ringtones and can no longer set individual ringtones and notifications.

Upgrades are suppose to improve the phone, not make it worse.  Something needs to be done to fix all of these issues IMMEDIATELY!!!!

Unforntally the only thing we can do at this point is try and get use to the new platform. I hope that they fix the problems that everyone is having. I am lucky that so far that I have not really run into any major problems.I do know that there are a lot people that are not so lucky and I hope that they get help for their phones soon. My phone is like a totally different phone since the update and after 3 days I still don't have the phone set the way I want it. The Nugant update only took a couple of hours to set it up the way I wanted. I hope that you don't have any problems with the phone itself as far as it turning off or on. Or with any apps that don't work right. I am sure if you keep an eye on this forum someone on here maybe having the same problem you are and can help you. Good Luck and keep us posted.

100% agree!

Livid about the personalized message notification sounds being taken away!

Thank you for the reply. It appears the majority of users are just as unhappy. Whatever patches Samsung thinks they fixed, they made these new issues worse!

So ready to give up my Service with Verizon unless they advocate on their users behalf to Samsung to remedy the situation.

Ugh!

Amber_VZW, you obviously haven't read the myriad of complaints from S7, S8, and S9 users about Oreo removing the notification customization features many, many users can no longer use.  Why don't you and your colleagues go to your upper management and let Samsung know about this fiasco, and get them to fix it???

This mess  just confirms to me that I won't ever update my S7 from Marshmallow.

You will have the same problem with any carrier as long as you select a Samsung phone as your device.

I'm most definitely NOT a VZW employee. If a post answered your question, please mark it as the answer.
