Can you uninstall the oreo update?

Also as far as switching to Apple after what they did to the battery on their older phones I don't think I would ever buy from a company that could do that to their customers. My son has an Iphone and he has done everything that he could to get better battery life and has not found anything to help.

My wife has an iPhone 6+ that is over two years old.  It has had no battery issues.  She can go a day and a half without charging and this is with much more usage than my S7, which won't make it through a day.  Of course, you know my battery problems.

If the Samsung phones follow the backup procedure Google has incorporated into the OS, it should be as simple as signing into your Google account on the new phone. When I got the Pixel, it asked which backup I wanted to restore from and I was able to select my previous phone (Motorola in this case). The applications and some settings were installed. Since I also back up my text messages through another application, I transferred those separately. My photos were already backed up to Google Photos so it was just a matter of linking the new phone to that account. I don't trade-in my phones so if there is anything missing, I can still access it from the original device.

I haven't updated my phone for nearly two years.  This Oreo fiasco is exactly why.

It's specifically the Oreo update that concerns.  It's what OS updates do to, not for, phones in general.  I didn't do the Nougat update because of all the issues it caused S7 users.  It's pretty obvious to me that whoever writes these updates doesn't have to use them and deal with all the problems they create.  I have said I would I would never have an iPhone for many reasons, but I am beginning to change my mind.  iPhone users don't have so many issues with their updates.

AAAAAHHHHHH!!!  I'M GOING OUT OF MY MIND! ! The Oreo upgrade on the Samsung Galaxy S7 is HORRIBLE! I totally agree -  long delays in loading applications since the upgrade and battery life is WAY worse!!!! THIS UOGRADE IS 100% HORRIBLE!

I agree with you. Customer service is what tipped the scale with me over other providers. When that goes...I go, they can keep their "Updated" phone
