Forgot lock screen password but fingerprint still works. Help. I still have access to my phone, apps and certain settings but still get asked for password for certain things but can't use fingerprint in that situation. Thanks in advance.

Being locked out of your phone isn't ever a good feeling, cRaZyGuyNYC. chris1060 and bearone21 were very helpful, as it's possible you'll need to factory reset your phone to get back into it. Unfortunately, if you have forgotten the password, there isn't really any way of being able to change it. To update the password in Security Settings, you're required to entry the current password to change it. The fingerprint will allow you to unlock the screen, but as you said, some actions require the actual password. There is power that to update our recover use of the password feature, you may end up having to do a factory reset. I may be wrong on this come so before you do a reset hopefully someone else will offer a solution less drastic.
