I noticed that several times of the past few weeks that my Galaxy S9 changes time on its own. It is always exactly one hour behind the actual time when this happens. When it happened today, I received a text message that I was expecting but it showed up at the bottom of my conversations and has a date of Jan 2, 2003. What is going on with my phone? Can I trust it anymore?
Sorry for the delayed response. I have it set to automatic date and time, use the date and time provided by your network. I also noticed that my phone won't connect to any apps until I restart the phone.
Hearing that your S9 changes time on its own is definitely not the experience we want for you. We've also noted your reference that your device won't connect to any apps until you restart your phone. We apologize for your inconvenience, and we're here to help get this resolved.
Have there been any recent changes to your S9? (e.g., software update, new apps downloaded, recent SIM Card change, etc.) Please reboot (Power cycle) your device once more for us while we're troubleshooting together.
No recent changes to my phone, system software is up to date. When the issue happens, I restart my phone and the time changes back to the correct time and everything else seems to work as well. When the time changes it always goes back exactly one hour, never jumps ahead.
Thank you for the additional information. When this issue happens with the time showing incorrect, do you get any error messages pop up on the phone screen? Or when you attempt to use one of your apps, do you see any error messages? If so, what error messages do you get, please? ~Louis
