Galaxy s8 time and date errors

My galaxy s8 just started showing incorrect date and time of january 17, 2007 and timeisbehind 1 hour for my time zone. Attempts to sync time automatically fail and i manually set it but cannot connect to internet reliably. What's wrong and how doi fix it???
