I noticed the Google Play Edition Galaxy S4 has the 700MHz LTE band. Since Verizon operates on the 700MHz LTE band will it be compatible with Verizon's LTE network? I know it is a GSM phone and does not have the appropriate radios for 3G and i would only get 4G but if i put a Verizon 4G LTE sim in it will i be able to get LTE?

Perhaps a live SIM from a different phone would work in this scenario, but since the phone is not certified for the network there is no way to get it on the network properly.

There are multiple bands of the 700 MHz frequency in use by multiple carriers. Verizon Wireless uses band 13, I believe. AT&T uses another band of the 700 MHz frequency for its LTE network. The AT&T frequency band is what the Samsung Galaxy S4 Google Edition supports. It is completely incompatible with the VZW network.
I'm most definitely NOT a VZW employee. If a post answered your question, please mark it as the answer.
