Has anyone else had trouble with S8 VR rebate?

I was extremely disappointed to find out (after initial salesman and customer support rep misled me) that signing up for S8 preorder did not guarantee free VR headset with controller, even though I was told info was verified and should receive within 6-8 weeks of delivery of S8 phone - absolutely lies!! Now after another conversation with a different Verizon rep, I'm not able to receive what I thought I was signed up for (and preordered). Not good business practices, Verizon. I may go yellow after all..."do you hear me now?"

The VR headset was a Samsung promotion. Did you submit for the promo via SamsungPromotions.com? That was the key for the promo. When you say you "signed up for" I'm guessing you did. If you submitted via the site what did you receive that stated you weren't eligible?

Bdub75, I want you to take advantage of any and all promotions available. We'd be sad to see you go and want to do all that we can to assist. Though we advertised the promotion, it was offered by Samsung and redeemed through them as well. When you ordered the device, were you able to visit http://samsungpromotions.com/ to redeem the offer? The offer was also advertised as while supplies last. Unfortunately, I had no knowledge of that prior regarding Samsung, and

wasn't even mentioned on recorded call last month with Verizon rep when I

called to verify order/delivery. There was no paperwork explaining this

when phone was delivered, nor e-mail. Only instructions was how to

activate. Invoice was also in packaging and I still have it all. I

appreciate the fact that you responded graciously, but it still doesn't

rectify the issue that on 2 occasions (including initial prepayment in

store) I was misled on how to obtain what I thought i preordered and now

can't obtain without paying additional. Thank you for responding.
