Has anyone received mandatory updates to their S7 last few days???

This is what I fear may happen if I to the Nougat update now.  I have missed some many updates that if I use the SUA, I may only get the latest update/s but not all the ones before.  What do you think?

The newest build includes the previous updates.

The reason I asked is in a previous post kathy 65793 said she missed some updates on her S5 and when she used the SUA, all she got was the most recent update.

I really don't know how great the SUA is all I do know is that at one point it did get my S5 back up and running for a while. As for the security update with the SUA I would believe that it realized how far back the version on my phone was and include those security patches. From what I read on other forums Smart Switch works the best for Samsung phones. It is made by Samsung and not sure how well it would do to repair a phone as SUA does but I have read that it goes deep in the phone to do the update. So I am sure Smart Switch would have All the security updates in update software feature.Good luck which ever program you use and make sure ( which I'm sure you will ) to let us know.

To use SmartSwitch wouldn't the OS update have to be on the computer to transfer it to the phone?   If so, how do you get it on the computer?

It acts just like SUA and gets the update through your internet connection. It will download to your computer then put it on the phone.

How do you start the computer download?

Start smart switch then plug your phone into your computer. Once smart switch recognizes your phone then go to more up on the top of the program then go to help. Then click the software update and it will tell you what to do in there. It will check the phone out and find that your phone needs updating. It will start downloading the software automatically. Depending what kind of internet service you have it could be hours or under an hour. Let me know how you made out.

Forgot to mention on your phone you can tap the system update instead of file transfer in the box that pops up  use usb for

I think you may have forgotten that I can't do install the normal way because I get 'software update is temporarily unavailable' message.
