Why has the speeds dropped since I switched to a 5g phone from 4g? My howspot was awesome with the older version.

I've been telling lots of people to "not go to nationwide 5g" because it's not ready for showtime;   speeds are oftentimes slower than 4G LTE.   The sad reality is once you have it, you can't get rid of it.   You're kind of stuck.

It I stay on 4G LTE where I live, speeds are great!  If I drive 3 blocks away and get "stuck on the Nationwide Verizon 5g", the speeds go down considerably.  - - I'd rather just turn off 5G;  unfortunately, that's not possible.

Service concerns are not what we want for you. Allow us to help. Is the issue only when using Mobile Hotspot on your device? Does this issue happen everywhere you go or just at a certain location? Any problems with calling or texting? - ChristianP_VZW
