I cannot add hotspot to my unlimited plan. I've tried:

1. Not listed under Features. It's simply not in the list. Tried both the MyVerizon app and website. I see a list of Features,  but Hotspot is not listed.

2. Called support: told it has to be done from the app. See above. Told it can be done through phone automated system, I hear a list of features,  but hotspot is not one of them.

3. Tried chat support: they tell me to call. See above.

4. Tried turning on hotspot on my phone, it tells me I'm not subscribed and to call. See above.

I have the $70 unlimited plan. Someone please tell me what's wrong. If I can't get this working, I will have to change carriers.  Thank you.

There is no add a hotspot option. You upgrade to the next tier of plan that has it like Play More etc.

Well, that's not what their help sections say. That's not what the Chat support person said. That's not what the phone support person said.  I don't mean to be disparaging, but that is simply incorrect according to the plan details.

Here's a snippet directly from the website:

Plan details

$65 plan with unlimited data

Auto Pay discount
Auto Pay discount of $5/mo available after 1st month for all plans. Credit or debit card required.

5G Nationwide
5G Nationwide available in 2,700+ cities. 5G Nationwide access requires a 5G Nationwide-capable device.

Mobile Hotspot
Mobile Hotspot and tethering available on the Unlimited Plan for $5/mo. Includes 10 GB of 5G Nationwide / 4G LTE data, then speeds up to 600Kbps the remainder of the month. Your data experience and functionality of some data applications such as streaming video or audio may be impacted.

-----------------------------------------------------------------
I simply want to add that "Mobile Hotspot" option that they CLAIM is available for $5 more a month. Why does that have to be so hard? Why can't the phone support people add and charge me for it?

I would try your suggestion, but the way it's going, I'll just end up paying more for services I don't need and still have the same problem. #frustrated.

On a side note, I've been a customer for over 9 months, and not getting my additional $5 discount.

Prepaid is another story. With postpaid it's "Start Unlimited" which doesn't have a hotspot and you change plan. I don't deal with prepaid for their lack of support.

You posted in a Samsung section so that gave no indicator you had prepaid.

I always suspected they held a prejudice against Prepaid people. Confirmed! If they're not ripping you off with their contracts they don't want to help you. Disgusting. Well I'll try upgrading and see what happens. When did Verizon support get so terrible? So disappointing.
