What make/model phone do you have?  Have you looked at other discussions regarding this issue, like Re: Messenger+ display bar

You can't get the nav bar back as a drop down to hide or not but in the upper left of the conversations page click on the 3 bars>shared media....it's all there. Not as convenient as before but at least not lost altogether. Hope this helps....I found it strictly by accident.

Also...the shared media is in the 3 dots on the upper right per individual recipient....again...merely by accident. I'm a trial and error...dog with a bone kinda gal....

Thank you. I found the way to access it all but very inconvenient compared

to how it was before. I don't understand why mine disappeared.

I hear you. And mine didn't change during an update it changed like over night for no apparent reason. Glad that there is at least this alternate route.

Verizon does some stupid [removed]. This is so why would you remove this navigation bar?

How about removing the dialer next?

Don't understand why you removed the trash folder in vvm.

Let's make everything more inconvenient for the end user, thanks vzw.
