My screen will frequently split vertically.  I've tried the MultiWindow Toggle w/o success.  Any suggestions to make the split screen go away permanently?

I understand that you want to disable the split window feature on your phone, JOHKNI70. I have checked my resources and nothing was found for an option to disable this feature. Additionally, I reached out to the phone manufacturer and they confirmed that this feature cannot be disabled. I apologize for any inconvenience this may cause you. You can confirm this information with the manufacturer at this link: http://www.samsung.com/us/support/owners/product/galaxy-s7-verizon

The manufacturer also shared a link with steps to manage this feature: http://www.samsung.com/us/support/answer/ANS00047841/
