I have tried everything and can't delete the Flip Briefing as a home page. Is it possible?

Assuming it works the same as on an S6 ... long-press a blank spot on the homescreen until you see the Wallpapers, Widgets, Themes, Screen Grid at the bottom. Slide over to the Flip Briefing panel, then switch to Off at the top of the screen.
