I am not at all pleased with the new Samsung update.

When I receive messages using Message+, initially, once I read the message, the icon number would not erase.  I had to uninstall and update again for the message number to disappear.  Now, when I receive a message, I will hear the ringtone, see the icon in my top bar, but the icon badge number may or may not appear. 

I am no longer able to click on the Pandora widget to launch my app.  I must now go into the apps to launch it.  I have done an uninstall and installed again and it still didn't work. 

When my phone connects with the Bluetooth in my car, song titles and artists through Pandora or Apple Music used to instantly appear on my sceen.  Now it doesn't even read the music that is playing.

Please help. Smiley SadSmiley Sad

Welcome to the world of OS system updates and the havoc they wreak on many, many users' phones.   That said, it's amazing how many users were actually asking for the Oreo update.  Now, look at the number of posts on the S8 community here describing all the problems Oreo has caused.  It happens with virtually every OS update.

Glsawyer, software updates are intended to enhance the performance of any device, not cause its user to be inconvenienced. I personally apologize. Apps, like device software, occasionally update too. I noticed your reference to no longer being able to click on the Pandora app widget to launch it and having to go into other apps to do so. Have other apps been affected by the device software update? Since your mobile device has completed its software update, we also want to ensure that your phone’s software version is compatible with your automobile’s Bluetooth system. The make and model of my vehicle is a 2015 Honda CR-V.

Thus far, I have only noticed that that Pandora app does not lauch via the widget.

Thank you for the reply. I do agree with your response, however, the only variable to change in this case has been the Samsung update; all else has remained the same. I will check on the Honda options that were suggested.

To verify, I did check with the Honda listings and with HandsFree Link, song list information does have song list display capability with the Samsung S8.

I appreciate you keeping us posted, glsawyer. Have you tried contacting Samsung to see if this change was due to the software update? They will have more details regarding the update.
