I've been holding off. Last time I did this (It think it was with an S5 and maybe 4.0) it ruined my phone.
For those of you who have upgraded, have most of your issues been resolved?
thanks in advance!

@MelindaCST
I understand your concerns with upgrading your device software. Software updates are intended to provide customers a better wireless experience, not worse.
I recommend updating your Samsung Galaxy S7 device software to the most current (Nougat) version. Here’s a link to more information about the software update as well as instructions: http://vz.to/2tdr4zj.

If you have looked through the posts here, you will see that Nougat has caused a variety of problems for many users. Granted, the number users with problems is probably far outweighed by users who have had few or no problems. I had an S4 that I never installed Kit Kat on because of the pattern of complaints that it 'bricked' their phones. I had a Samsung tablet that Kit Kat made basically useless. Regarding the Nougat issues being described here now, the new complaints have decreased significantly over time. Now they're mostly repeats of earlier problems or strings that continue to get comments. In spite of this pattern, I have decided not to install Nougat yet.
