Just using phone to access email accounts and phone didn't ring. Why?

That's definitely something we'd want to know more about, so let's check that out. Does the phone show an incoming call when you are using your email at the time, despite no ring tones? Or do you not get any calls at all, other than a voicemail icon or missed call notification afterwards?
