Phone randomly not ringing

I have a Galaxy S6. Over the past few months, my phone will randomly not ring when calls are coming in. I've tried changing the ring tones, checking to make sure that the permissions are set up right, volume, etc. Nothing looks strange. It happens in different places and with different people. Sometime the phone will ring and it will be someone who the phone didn't notify me about previously, so i know it's not that someone is set for 'do not disturb.' Usually when this happens, if I look at the recent history, the call also doesn't show up there. I only know when a voicemail is left that someone called.

Any ideas what the problem might be and how to fix?

We want to make sure you are able to get all your calls again. When this started did you notice any changes to the phone, do any updates, download any new programs or software? I want to make sure we cover all aspects for you.
