Replace s7 edge back glass without paying the absurd $300?

Simple question: can i replace my s7 edge back glass without voiding the warranty but not pay the bs $300 price tag and have my phone shipped away for a week or more?

It makes no sense AT ALL that a different phone repair store cannot fix the back glass while still remaining under warranty. If verizon sees that it was fixed, why should we have to pay the remaining balance on a "tampered" device. Either way ur paying <$300 which doesnt make sense. New back glass plates are LITERALLY $15.

Quick example, say your leasing a car (similar to the edge plan). You get a flat tire. Guess what? You pay for the tire to get fixed....you fix the damage and you can still return your car at the end of the lease. Any advice or input? Shouldnt have to pay for half of a new phone when it literally costs $15 for the part, its greedy and bad business.

You will void the warranty.  Did you not insure the phone?  The insurance deductible is only $150.

Did not this time, didnt think the back was [removed] glass, i even had a case

on it. See thats the[removed] problem, why would it void the warranty? Im out $300 if

i send it in (which isnt happening, im a corrections officer, i need my

[removed] phone) and im out $300 to pay the remainder since its already cracked

(warranty is gone on physical damage)

It voids the warranty because that's what the VZW contract says.

Pybboy, we understand your concern regarding getting the back of the phone fixed. If the parts of the device is replaced by unauthorized parts or at an unauthorized vendor it will void the warranty.  With the screen shattered and no insurance we recommend contacting Samsung directly to see how long you would be without the phone while it is being repaired. If you opt to send the phone to Samsung you can activate another phone on the line if you have one. To contact Samsung visit http://bit.ly/2xjnxlk

Samsung charges $300 for a $15 part for a 15 minute job.

You need to decide how important it is that you keep the warranty in place.

But having cracked glass, the warranty is already gone

If the warranty is gone, then why does it make a difference where you get the glass replaced?

Lol thats my question. It looks like i figured it out. Either i pay the $300 to

have samsung fix it and keep it under warranty so i can upgrade when its

half payed off

Or

I pay around $15 to get it fixed and have to wait to pay it off in full

since i cant trade it in without its warranty. I could pay the phone off to

upgrade early, but that will be over $300. [Removed] either way to verizons

nonsense contract.
