After the last Verizon update (August 25, 2021), I have a problem with my Ring doorbell App. I have a Ring Doorbell Pro which I used to be able to hear sounds from the outside when viewing the Live view option (just viewing the outside). I have uninstalled the app and reinstalled it, same thing. Talked to Ring, no help. My Galaxy Tab S7+ works fine, but then again it doesn't get updates from Verizon. You can't hear or talk to anyone that rings the doorbell. Any thoughts?
I would be concerned too if I were having a problem with an app after a phone update! Samsung creates the software updates for their Galaxy line of devices. Sometimes, when a phone is updated, application makers need to update their app in order for it to work with the new changes to the phone. We aren't able to provide support for 3rd party applications. We'd recommend reaching out to Ring or Samsung directly so they can troubleshoot the issue further.
I did talk to Ring( Amazon ) and they had no idea what to do and suggested calling Verizon. I know it was the update from August, my Galaxy Tab S7+ works fine( it doesn't get Verizon updates ). My wife's S21 Plus does the same thing.
Ring needs to update their app. I have found with stuff like this app developers are either slow to update or don't care abd couldn't be bothered to update and make the app compatible, Verizon can't do that, it's all on ring. Mary
