Lets see you [Removed] try and get out of this scam!!!
Tell me how its possible for me and my wife (both have s7 edges) to be at home.. on our wifi connection... and our phones use our 4G data. The 4g light on the phone flickers so it is clearly using mobile data while on wifi.. Before you even reply with "is smart data on?" no its nnot ist off. I turn all that scam [Removed] off so this doesnt happen yet it still does.
Whats even worse.... ITS HAPPENING IN THE MIDDLE OF THE NIGHT WHEN WE ARE SLEEPING AND NOT EVEN USING THE PHONES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
THE LAST 3 MONTHS IN THE MIDDLE OF THE NIGHT I GET A TEXT AND EMAIL PROMPTING ME TO BE AWARE THAT WE JUST PASSED UP 75% OF OUR MOBILE DATA...
HMMMM WEIRD BECAUSE IM SLEEPING AND NOT USING THE PHONE!!!

Or turn off the cellular data connection when you expect to be connected to a wifi router for extended periods of time?

Hbkseanmichael, we certainly wouldn't want you to feel like you're being scammed. I use the S7 Edge as well and it's an excellent phone. You and your wife have great taste! We know how important it is to be conserve your data usage and be able to connect to Wi-Fi. We would be more than happy to address your concerns today to ensure everything is working properly.
I know that you're concerned about the 4G light on the phone. I certainly want to get additional information on the light that you're referring to just so we're both on the same page. Are you referring to the LED light that's on the top-left of the phone (to the left of the Samsung logo) or are you referring to the "4G LTE" symbol that's located on the top-right of the display (to the left of the signal, battery, and time)?
Regarding your concerns with the text messages that you're receiving overnight, please keep in mind that your data usage is not updated in real-time. The usage can update periodically throughout the day and at times take longer to process. As soon as we receive an updated record, we send out those text messages.
Were there any other concerns that led you to believe the phone is using mobile data instead of Wi-Fi when you're at home? We definitely want to make sure we are not overlooking anything else.

When you go into settings - data usage- mobile data usage -what in there is using all The data I had the same problem since I am home a lot and on wifi there. One of the things I noticed was that the play store would update even when I had the data turned off and on wif. When I went into some of the settings I saw that most of these apps were allowed to use background data. While you are in that settings under mobile data usage just tap on any of the apps in there you will see that they can use all the data they want. I have turned off all of these apps but still a lot of them still use some data through the month. It has been a lot better but another one is the play store which I have set to do not auto-update apps. I am sure there will be a lot more suggestions for you on here like jrh4050 and ann154 have suggested.
