S7 Unable to Connect To PC after Oreo Junk Update

After this update and many, many bad things wrong I am unable to see any of my files when I connect to my Windows 10 PC. The device drivers loaded and the device shows under This PC as SAMSUNG-SM-G930V  and I see Card and Phone Folders but both show This Folder Is Empty. On the occasion when I can get something to show all I see is a LOST.DIR folder plus a number of other Folders with a Windows logo but no name or other. Looking on the phone itself I can see all my files and folders.

Have resolved my issue. Found another charging cable to try. All content shows now.

Have you pulled down the notification shade and changed the USB mode to File Transfer?

Many times. When I change from File Transfer to Photo Transfer is when I can see the 1 folder. Then it goes away after a few minutes and I change it back to File Transfer and I see 1 folder again.phone1.JPG

To do this with the S7, the Developer options setting must be activated and turned on.  You have go to Developer options to change the USB configuration from Charging to MTP, media transfer protocol.
