S8 Cannot send/Receive Videos!!

Why can I not send or receive videos from my Samsung S8? I am trying to send a 27 second video and I cannot send it to an android phone or an iPhone 7 or iPhone 6. I also cannot receive videos from an iPhone.  This is Ridiculous when I have one of the newest phones on the market!

The file is likely too large. Can you email it to those people?

Being able to share videos with your friends and family is a must, XMERCURI. It’s also a concern that you’re not able to receive videos from others as well. Let’s work on getting this fixed. What happens when you attempt to send a video? What happens when you receive a message with a video? When did this start? Do you know if any other Verizon users are having trouble sending and receiving messages in this area? What zip code are you located in?

I am located in zip code 28658. I am not aware of anyone having issues

aside from me and my wife. My wife has an iPhone 7 and she can send and

receive videos from other iPhones. She cannot send videos to me and k

cannot send videos to her. She said she gets a link for her to click on

when I send her a video and she will get the text I send with a video but

no video - even when it says it sent on my end. Most of the time though it

just says "sending on my end but never sends and eventually it says

"failed". While both of us were on the same WiFi I was able to send one

video that she was able to receive. Is 55.9mb too large to send? That's

just a 27sec video. When my wife tries to send a video to me I don't get

anything and it just says failed on her phone.

I just recently purchased this S8. With the other phone Turbo 2 I was able

to receive videos and send videos under 20sec long.

I appreciate all the added details XMERCURI. I know how important it is to make sure you're able to send and receive video messages. We want you to enjoy your new phone. Let's get to the bottom of this.

 

I checked the area and there are no reported alerts. What messaging app are you using to send the video message? Are you able to connect to the Internet while not connected to WiFi? Have you ever been able to send and receive video messages on this phone? Have you tried sending your wife a smaller video to see if she receives it?

I will try a smaller video. I can connect to the internet without WiFi,

yes. I have never (had the phone for 2 weeks) been able to send or receive

videos with this phone. I am using the Message+ app for texting.
