Samsung Galaxy 7 emails not being deleted when I delete from Server

I just upgraded to a Samsung  Galaxy 7 and now when I delete emails from my roadrunner server they are not being deleted from my phone.  So now I have to delete from my computer AND from my phone.

I had a Galaxy 3 which never had this problem.

How can I resolve this?

Is your e-mail account set up as an IMAP or Exchange account?

I'm not sure what you mean.   How would I know the difference?
