I haven't even had this phone a week, and it suddenly stopped working. On my drive home from work, I had it hooked up to my car radio listening to an audio book when suddenly it just turned itself off. It won't turn back on. I knew it wasn't dead because it still had a 70-80% charge. I plugged in my charger anyway and the phone vibrated then showed the battery icon with just a gray and white circle in it, then went black. I popped the battery out, hit the buttons on the phone a few times to bleed the power off it, then gently cleaned the golden contact points on the battery and phone with a soft rag, still nothing. I'm paranoid with my tech as a rule, especially regarding a brand new, expensive smart phone. I keep it in an Otter Box, it's never been dropped, and never been around liquid so I highly doubt it's water damage. I plan on going to the Verizon store first thing in the morning if it's not working by then, but if anyone has suggestions on what I can do in the mean time, I'd greatly appreciate it!

jjgallaher,
That's odd. But we'll get you back up and running in a jiffy. Given that it won't power on and attempting to charge it and pull the battery haven't worked, please process the alternate method of a hard reset and test at http://vz.to/19jJtZW .
