The update issues I mean. Seems like many peeps are having the same types of problems and it would seem like the right thing to do would be to release a patch(?) upperdate(?) obviously I don't know the correct verbiage but I'm sure you get the idea. Ya know, like when an app releases an update that creates a ton of problems for people, they figure that [removed] out & release another correcting the issues.
But for all the searching I've done thru here, I've yet to see any type of message or post from the lovely people responsible for this [removed] saying anything about working on any kind of resolution. Or even a simple "Dang, sorry 'bout that, our bad."
...but maybe that's just me.

Google and the device manufactures have control over the creation and release of the software updates and patches. Check on the manufacture web sites for release dates or patch info.

I'm wondering the same thing, one of my apps was working fine before this lollipop update and now that I have it, I get the message "Unfortunately app name has stopped" I have tried everything that I know and have been told and nothing fixes it. Really ticks me off that a glitched update (more like a down date) would be released.

Or, perhaps the app you are using has not been updated by its developer to be compatible with your device and Lollipop yet.

Maybe not, but, I was able to use it just fine before the Lollipop update, that much I do know for sure.

Perhaps a support email sent to the Dev might yield some results. What app?

I just sent an email to app developers, the app is called Campus Life, this issue has not just happened to me, but other people I know who have this device and updated.

Sounds like an LP-compatibility issue. Hopefully Dev can accommodate.

Heya p.c.f.l, you know Snn5 suggested a way for me to kinda redo the update on my phone as I installed the update without any type of prep & it totally messed up my phone. It's not truly redoing the update 'cause once that bugger is on there, it's on there, but I did what he suggested & I couldn't be happier. Everything works again, it's not sucking down the battery and the only issues I now have are with the update it's self (ugly colors, etc.). If, like me, you installed the update on your phone without any kind of preparation, you really might want to try his method. Just a thought.
