Sound problems - please help

I've had my Edge for two days. I've used my Bluetooth headset with it & when it died I plugged in the provided headset. This morning my sound wouldn't work beyond a whisper. Nothing I did would turn it back up & I didn't hear my alarm so I was late for work. Any ideas what is wrong? I'm seriously about to head back to Verizon & get something else

I definitely want to make sure you can fully count on your new phone! That's crucial. I know I wouldn't have much hope of getting up in the morning without my alarm. Let's make sure we solve this. If you go into your settings under sound and notification and go to volume are all of the volumes turned up? Is Bluetooth still turned on? If so can we turn that off and see if it is the same?
