I have repeatedly contacted Verizon for assistance when my unlock pattern stop working. No one could answer my question on how can I unlock the phone and save my data (my photos). The "technical" response I received from Verizon and Samsung is --: just reset your phone which wipes the data. You should have back everything up. We can't do anything." I contacted the Samsung service center for Verizon -- same response. I thought the problem was with the software but I am not an expert on Android phones. I found a solution to an unlock pattern not working on an official Samsung Forum titled "unlock pattern not working" from Jan 6, 2020. This forum will not let me post the message.
Why doesn't anyone from Verizon and Samsung know about this software problem? Several other people besides me have had it. I am letting my battery drain to see if that will have the phone reset. I would appreciate some help from Verizon and Samsung on this. Thank you.
Verizon can't do anything about your phone unlock patterns not working, all they can advise is a factory reset.
What you're describing is a phone fault, not something to do with the carrier. Verizon CS is there for billing issues and network problems. Need Samsung for that one.
sphonegalaxy, we know the importance of ensuring that your phone is unlocked properly. Regrettably, we do not have the resources to assist with device unlock options within our Customer Service team. Our recommendation would be to reach out to Samsung directly with any questions or concerns regarding the unlock issues that you are experiencing.
