After doing the factory update my galaxy S4 freezes at the verizon logo and I did a hard reset which still did not resolve the issue.

mpirzada, you're on the right track! Hard resetting your device is a great step towards resolving the screen freezing issue. I'm dissappointed to see that this task didn't work for you. Is there any physical or liquid damage on your device? Did you recently recieve a software update on your phone?
