Sprint
US Cellular
Arguably, they are the fourth and fifth place carriers, but they got ahead of the carrier that wants us to believe he are the #1 carrier when it comes to network and customer.
I don't know about you, but I don't feel very satisfied when a smaller carrier beats my carrier to the upgrade. Especially when, it appears that there are no problems with the update (Sprint customers are not complaining and they've had over a week to nit pick).
From what's been said, kit kat is supposed to make our phones better because it's lighter and less ram intensive when compared to Jelly Bean.
I can't imagine why Verizon would want to withhold the update from us.

Actually, the answer simple... DROID Does. The Droid phone have had to update almost as long as the Google Play Editions have.
Verizon has no love for Samsung, but they love their Droid line up.
Unless someone is a Diehard Samsung fan (like myself), Verizon could sway you to the sub par line up that is Droid.
Droid phones are still stuck on dual core processors when market has clearly move to quad core and beyond.
But... some people will be swayed with the promise of Kit Kat.

Droid is VZW's favorite and everything else is just an unwanted step child. Just because some of our phone are a phone manufactures flag ship phone is not a reason for any concern from VZW!

While everyone is whining (I mean waiting) for the alleged promised KitKat 4.4, go to Google Play Store and download a free KitKat wallpaper for your S3...there's more than one attractive wallpaper app, I chose one in January that looks terrific on my S3 with Nova Launcher and suits my color/minimalistic design needs perfectly. Meanwhile, I've reduced the number of rarely used apps and have simplified my security needs to just one app, Mobie, that I like very much. So, long story short, I'm enjoying my S3 again and am no longer anxious about the next update... if, in fact, it's still on the table.

Be careful what you wish for...
If history is any gauge, the update could be wrought with bugs. Also, you can count on the Samsung/Big Red team to lock the phone down even harder than it already is. I've heard that the new version of ob-KNOX-ious is extremely onerous.
Then again, we can hope, and dream that they can deliver a clean, smooth and snappy OS? Right?

I'll definitely be waiting to update this time after that 4.3 fiasco.

It's official: T-Mobile, US Cellular, AT&T and Sprint have released the OTA update with KITKAT for Galaxy S4's. No more wondering if we are last to get, the answer is: Yes We Are.
