Problem with that is Samsung released a time frame they would start rolling it out(Dec 2018) so Verizon definitely knows when they will have the update yet refuses to release it when other carriers are already rolling it out and the next model generation update release is about to roll out so that is not a answer to why Verizon can't give a time frame for a already released update.
