I opened a pdf from an email on my phone. It says it's in my Download file, but I can't find a download file. It's not in my Gallery Downloads. I don't know where that is.
Help, please.

Thank you. I found it under My Files...now under any app with Download in the name....
And to the person who said it won't download pdfs, you are incorrect. It did download it. I just couldn't find where it was saved to.
Appreciate the assistance.

If you open your list of all the installed applications, there is an icon called Downloads where you can access them.

Gallery is not going to open that type of a file format as it is only for pictures.
As was mentioned, you need to use a file manager app (which "My Files" is the stock version as Ann154 stated).
Otherwise, you can download any file explorer type app from the Play Store and navigate to the correct "download" folder which could be in various areas depending on the phone, or where the folder was set to save to...... If you don't see it you can usually search for "downloads" within the file explorer app (though I don't know if it will give you this capability in the stock one).

I just checked the co-workers S8 and as soon as you open the My Files application (which might be buried in a Tools folder, at least it was on theirs) there was a shortcut called Downloads on the main screen.
