My wife's Galaxy S4, purchased new on September 14, 2013, will not charge. The device will not recognize that the charging cord is plugged in. So far I have tried the following:
-Using several different cords, including the factory cord for my Galaxy S4
-Switching batteries between my S4 and hers
-Letting the device run the battery down to 0%
-Plugging the USB cord into a computer
-Resetting (obviously)
-Turning on/off power saving mode
-Ensuring the port is free of debris, and that the tab inside is straight and not compromised
Any input, advice or help is appreciated.

Hi MacDavies - Let's geive your wife back the power to power her phone! I appreciate you taking the steps that you have already. To confirm is there any apparent physical or liquid damage to the device?
Thank you,

There is no physical or water damage. It was working great, then an hour later it wouldn't take a charge.
