I was able to update the setting for "do not disturb" which I guess is what
it is considered now when your phone is on silent and screen is locked. It
changed it so my led light for my imessages is blue but it's just not the
same as before. The color in my message options is indigo, not blue, and
the led light blinks only semi- frequently and not the same as when
messages use to be received. It doesn't really matter since I got it
working and will use to the change, but it does seem that the settings you
set in the actual application (imessages) dont work.

I need the color to be specific when the phone is on during the day and wit the update, there's no way to change it. Even in the Message+ app, when I click on the customize to edit the color, it forces me to a different page where there's no option to change the color.

Also, it does seem like my battery is draining a lot quicker after the
upgrade.

Has anyone been able to remove the Oreo update or gone into a store and had any luck with flashing a phone back to the last upgrade?
I just got this S8+ and was loving it and now I hate it.

So that's it, I'm stuck with a phone I hate? It won't connect to my car anymore. It barely connects to my wifi at home. I was stranded last night at a concernt because it wouldn't connect to Lyft.

You may end up have to do an FDR, which for me is the absolute last resort.

Yeah, trying to avoid that. I just find it hard to believe that an update would come out that would eliminate the possibility for the user to customize their own notifications.

I often think that those who come up with revisions like this never have to use them and deal with all the [removed] they create. Because of that I haven't done any updates to my S7 for a year and a half. Unfortunately, I may be paying for it now with excessive battery consumption.

KBVERBATIM I certainly agree that updates are supposed to improve a device, not make it worse. I want to make sure you can get back to loving your device. Can you tell me more about what happened with Customer Service? Has there been any improvement on any of the issues you are experiencing? I know you are looking to avoid a factory data reset, can you tell me what other troubleshooting has been done?
